Freshwater Fish as Food for
Lizards
There are many
lizard species that
can be fed, and enjoy,
freshwater fish.
They must be freshwater fish, as saltwater fish have
too high of a salt content. Feed the fish to your lizard
whole. In the wild, the fish is eaten whole, and should
be in captivity as well. This ensures the lizard gets
all the needed vitamins and minerals out of their food.
Never feed your lizard fish from polluted
waters. Make sure you know the overall health of the
waterway. Pollutants can cause sickness and disease.
