Some
herbivorous and omnivorous lizards, but mostly
geckos like the Bibron
Gecko and Crested
Gecko, will also tend to eat fruit. The best way
to feed it to them is in a mash form. Baby food works
very well as a base for the mixture. Adding honey to
the mixture will attract the gecko, and make the entire
mixture more appealing.
You should also add a multi-vitamin supplement, making
sure to competely mix the vitamins into the fruit and
honey. Add a few drops of water to make the mixture
a little runny. The mash should not be too cold when
you offer it to your lizards.
If your lizards are nocturnal, place a small
amount in a dish at night. Make sure to remove the fruit
in the morning and clean the dish before the next feeding. |
