In simple terms, humidity
is the measure of moisture in the air. As you may have
seen by reading through our Lizard
Care Sheets, humidity is given in a percentage.
Humidity measures the water vapour in the air at a specific
temperature. This is compared to the maximum amount
of vapour that air could hold at that same temperature.
Warm air holds more water than cold air. When the humidity
value is 100%, it means the air is holding all the air
it can without creating condensation. If the temperature
of air goes down, the relative humidity will
go up as cooler air holds less water.
