External Wounds on Lizards

Bite wounds, crushed/broken toes or a broken tail.

Antibiotic powder can be used on the wound to help reduce the risk on infections. Do not be tempted to use self-adhesive bandages on your lizard. A sterile terrarium or enclosure should be used to house the lizard while it recovers. Again this is very important to prevent infection. No sand or should cannot be used in the sterile terrarium as this can easily get into an open wound.
