Salmonella is not visible to the naked
eye. It is a microscopic disease that rarely affects
lizards. However, it is possible to get it yourself
from your lizard and its enclosure.
The only way to prevent it is to constantly provide
a thoroughly clean enclosure. Anything you use to clean
the enclosure, and everything in the enclosure, must
also be thoroughly cleaned. Salmonella contamination
in your lizard can be found through
a fecal examination by your veterinarian. |
