The genus of Acanthosaura contains eight species of lizards,
and are all known as Mountain Horned Dragons.
These arboreal lizards are native to Southeast Asia,
and tend to stay in thick forests in high elevation
areas. They grow to an average of 11 inches, but have
been seen at 15 inches. The Mountain Horned
Dragons get their name from the spines running
down their backs. They eat insects almost exclusively.
