| Even though a lizard
keeper can take excellent care of both male and female
lizards, this may still not be enough for successful reproduction.
Both animals must have the proper sexual instincts when
the time is right. The most effective way to properly
stimulate this is through climate control. The climate
of your habitat plays a very significant role in the overall
health of the lizard, and their willingness for
sexual activity. Not all lizards are the same, as they
come from all over the world. Improper climate will have
negative effects on their natural behaviour. You must
be able to trigger the sexual drive of your lizard. Learn
everything you can about their natural environment. Cold
periods, warm periods, and the temperature and humidity
during their mating season. By emulating this, you will
successfully trigger their sexual instincts, and have
a better chance of breeding your lizards. |
