The Ground Agama (Agama aculeata)
is native to sub-Saharan Africa. Some countries include
Zambia, Tanzania and Zimbabwe (not a complete list).
Ground Agamas are a red-brown, olive, grey or yellowish
in color, and all have a cream-white to pink underside.
They also have darker paired spots of color down their
backs, which continue down their tails. When breeding,
the males' heads turn blue. Ground Agamas
have an average SVL
of 88 cm. They have a triangular shaped head that is
capped off with a pretty round snout.
