The
Pretty Bavayia (Bavayia pulchella)
has a very limited range, being solely found east of
Bourail in New Caledonia. Their endangered status is
'Vulnerable'.
These geckos normal colors are medium
shades of brown with a light stripe running down their
backs, and extending onto either side of their head.
Species have been observed with no stripe whatsoever
as well.
Reaching lengths of 4.5 cm, the Pretty Bavayia
is a very small species of gecko. Their tail is slightly
smaller than their body length, and they have wider
toes than most gecko species. |
